What is World Risk Day?

World Risk Day is a global forum for industry thought leaders and peers to gather together virtually to discuss the major trends, challenges and best practices in risk management. The second annual World Risk Day, themed “Shattering the Project Myth”, took place on May 14th, 2013.

Launched in June of 2012, the first annual World Risk Day hosted 2,300 delegates and 25 expert speakers from a variety of industries, including energy, mining, major global infrastructure projects, and government organizations.  

With huge numbers of capital projects the world over, be that building the basic infrastructure of commerce in emerging countries, through to established nations and companies upgrading ageing assets and capabilities to manage increasing demand, the subject of delivering projects on time and on budget has never been so relevant.  World Risk Day 2013 promises to be bigger and better, with the world’s leading experts discussing the role of project risk management in delivering successful projects.
